Empathetic
Empathy is the most valued trait that our carers demonstrate. Interestingly, when we talk about empathy there is a distinction from sympathy. Sympathy is the notion of feeling sorry for something or someone. With empathy, there comes, on top of sympathy, an understanding, an experience and a personal angle. This makes our empathetic carers incredibly understanding.
Experienced
To be a successful carer, experience is invaluable. Our experienced carers are constantly retraining. As such, they keep learning new skills. This makes sure they come to each customer with as much experience and knowledge as possible.
Reliable
Reliability is an essential skill for carers to demonstrate. At Carers2u we are committed to provide a reliable and comfortable service. We have a number of additional carers on hand at any time, so that just in case your Carer is ill or dealing with an emergency, our service can continue uninterrupted.
Respectful
A key answer to the question ‘What makes a good carer’ is respect. Our carers tend to people with many different needs, and respect is at the forefront of every interaction. Our experienced and empathetic carers have experience and training in all sorts of medical conditions, including Dementia and Alzheimers, so they can approach every interaction with respect and understanding.
Communicative
Successful communication is key to providing good care. Our communicative carers like to check in regularly with the customers to ensure they’re getting the best care possible. We believe that a key to a successful working relationship is good two way communication. At Carers2u we try to send to the same carer to the same customer every time, so that a friendship can build. With more communication comes more trust and comfort.
